After leaving the U of U in 1968 I moved to New York City and joined IBM. Ultimately I moved to Denver, Boise and back to SLC, still with IBM. Most of my life was spent in the Information Systems industry. In the end, I owned my own company supplying computer hardware. My favorite hobby, then, was playing guitar in a bluegrass band.
I was able to retire from work at age 60 to manage my own assets (rental properties). I was an active bicyclist for 30 years until had an accident with a car.
My wife and I love to travel and plan to do as much of it as we can. A few years ago I began the process of building, pretty much from scratch, a land speed record car to race at the Bonneville Salt Flats. This hobby continues today ( 1-1-2024)
